Viv Bell
Award: CeP (2020)
Biography
I began my journey in education as an EFL teacher in 2002. Since then I have worked in HE across both student support and academic roles including Student Support Officer and Teaching Fellow in Psychology and Teaching Fellow in Study Skills. I am now an Academic Skills Consultant at the University of Salford and have responsibility for creating embedded workshops in Salford Business School and bookable academic skills sessions across the university. I am also a member of the Academic Resilience Consortium (international) and a Co-chair of the BAME Staff Network at the University of Salford.
How can I support Learning Developers?
I would like to support learning developers who are applying for their Certified Practitioner award. My interests are in wellbeing and supporting students in developing their academic resilience so I would be happy to collaborate with learning developers and to share good practice. I am also committed to creating a more equitable, inclusive and anti-racist environment for Black and Ethnic Minority students.
