ALDinHE is a supportive community – mentoring is what we do – in our work and with each other. The Peer Mentoring Working Group is an umbrella group that brings together representatives of different subgroups that engage in mentoring in various ways: from the actual mentoring programme – through the #Take5 blog – to all our various Communities of Practice (CoP). Time commitments as varied as our modes of mentoring – speak to someone at the fair to find out more.

Mentoring Scheme
The Mentoring Scheme and CeM subgroups runs the ALDinHE mentoring scheme. We’re always happy for people to become involved in mentoring as a mentor and a mentee and we’re currently recruiting partners. Members of the subgroup tend to be recruited from those already familiar with the scheme through partnering.
If you have any questions about any of these roles, please get in touch with Ursula (uca1@gcu.ac.uk).
#Take5
Our blog posts act as a pick up and go teaching tips for time poor lecturers. #Take5 is designed to help all of us to share our passion for teaching and learning; helping our students to (learn how to) act powerfully within this strange beast that is higher education. Take5 is also for anybody working in diverse spaces in liberatory ways. We want you to share your passion and your ideas! And of course, we have a #Take5 post about writing for #Take5! Read: 10 reasons why it is good for you to #Take5.
If you would like to write a #Take5 blog, please email admin@aldinhe.ac.uk. Blog writers are supported by the Editorial Team.

Propose a CoP
Is there an area you would like to regularly discuss with other members of the LD community? If so, why not set up a new CoP discussion group? Please send CoP proposals to admin@aldinhe.ac.uk
