There is a virtual Menti quiz night starting at 7.30pm on Thursday evening 12 June 2025. All online and face-to-face delegates are invited to join the virtual quiz via MS Teams. The link will be provided on the online programme for delegates.

The quiz is also open to non-delegates. If you are not attending the conference, please book a ticket to the quiz night from ALDinHE’s event calendar.

Quiz Format

  • Platform for Quiz: Mentimeter
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice
  • Rounds: 10 rounds, including:
    • General knowledge
    • A special round about Greenwich
    • Additional themed rounds

Scoring System

  • Answers submitted quickly earn more points.
  • Individual scores will be calculated and displayed in real time after several questions.

Prize

  • Winner: The quiz winner will receive a unique Greenwich knickknack as a prize.

Post-Quiz Socialising

  • The online room is open after the quiz, if you fancy staying online to chat with members of the LD community. Bring along your drinks and snacks.

Join us for a drink – 7.30pm onwards.

If you’re arriving into Greenwich on Monday 16th June, ahead of the conference on Tuesday 17th June, there will be a pub crawl led by University of Greenwich, starting at 19.30pm. This will be led by Mina Stoynova.

Meeting point is just outside the Library entrance, University of Greenwich,  Stockwell Street Library, 10 Stockwell Street, SE10 9BD

We will be at each pub at around the half hour, so 7.30, 8.30 and 9.30pm spending approximately 45 mins to allow at least a drink for slow drinkers and a couple of drinks for fast drinkers. You can join up with the pub crawl at any time, following the plan below:

This activity is self-funded.

All Monday evening activities are optional and for delegates to self-arrange and self-fund.

Breakfast Networking Event

Breakfast networking event

Join us for our networking breakfast event, for an informal, friendly space to connect with like-minded people working in the field of learning development while enjoying an early breakfast. This event provides an opportunity to network before the conference begins. All face-to-face delegates are welcome and it is a chance for those new to learning development or new to the conference to meet other members of ALDinHE.

Conference Dinner, Awards Ceremony and evening entertainment at The Oystercatcher

Join us for our awards ceremony and conference dinner to celebrate the accomplishments within the Learning Development community, at the The Oystercatcher. We will be celebrating those who have gained professional accreditation as certified practitioners (CeP) and certified leading practitioners (CeLP) in learning development. The ceremony will also see the announcement of our ALDinHE Tom Burns Memorial Award, Annual Award winners and JLDHE Article and Reviewer of the Year Awards. We encourage and invite you to dress up for the evening’s occasion in your best bib and tucker!

The Conference Dinner will be held at The Oyster Catcher, 7 Victoria Parade, London, SE10 9FR.
