Welcome to ALDcon23
Join us for three days of stimulating discussion and inspiring sessions!
This year, we’ll be running the conference both virtually and physically.
Our online day will be Friday, 9 June 2023, and our in-person days will be Tuesday and Wednesday, 13-14 June 2023 in Portsmouth.
ABOUT THE EVENT
ALDcon23 is the UK’s leading event for the learning development community.
The conference will offer plenty of CPD opportunities, including research development, CeP/CeLP guidance, opportunities to learn more about ALDinHE’s work, and the chance to get involved with a working group and/or a community of practice.
CONFERENCE THEMES
We have three broad conference strands:
- The impact of Learning Development on transformation and transitions into, through, and out of HE.
- The impact of Learning Development on equality, diversity and inclusion for individuals, HE, and society.
- The impact of Learning Development on sense of belonging and its value to students, staff and Higher Education.
NETWORKING
There are many ways to network pre, during and post the conference.
A key part of attending ALDcon23 is the way in which you can network with others and build valuable relationships within the Learning Development Community.
As well as offering a way to learn, share ideas and present work, ALDcon23 also provides a range of ways to make connections and a number of social events.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Students are the beating heart of Learning Development work. For this reason, ALDinHE and the University of Portsmouth team are breaking with tradition and putting students at the heart of this year’s conference keynotes.
We hope that what delegates learn from the student voice gives us pause for thought, and the ability to harness reflections about how we can be truly impactful to the experience and education of our diverse student populations.
