Biography

 Zara Hooley has taught in the HE sector for the last 12 years in a variety of learning and teaching roles and currently work as a Senior Lecturer in Academic Writing at DMU. She completed her PhD thesis in 2020 investigating the friendship making processes of same-sex couples during transition to parenthood. She has research interests that span teaching and learning, identity, sexuality and the family. She is an active member of the Centre for Reproduction Research and is published in the areas of pedagogy, sexuality and adoption.
