Biography

Alison is a Senior Learning Developer at UWE Bristol, working closely with librarians, specialist tutors, and academics in the College of Health, Science and Society.  She supports undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as staff involved in learning and teaching.  She is motivated by fostering connections across departments and bringing out the best in others.  Alison contributes to academic development through local and institutional staff development activities, including reviewing submissions to UWE Bristol’s HEA fellowship scheme.  She has held SFHEA since 2024.  Alison’s professional approach centres on three principles: understand the audience, find creative solutions and evaluate impact.
