Supporting Success: Leveraging Environmental Sensitivity to Empower Postsecondary Learners

 

Biography

I am a Learning Advisor at Whitireia Weltec in New Zealand, and I have a PhD in Educational Psychology. My area of research is how varying degrees of environmental sensitivity can be beneficial or obstructive for learners of all ages.  This workshop focuses on the identification of high sensitivity, specifically in the education context, and explores ways for educators to help learners to harness the benefits of sensitivity and to mitigate possible challenges. The workshop concludes with an introduction to new teacher training resources and PD options.
