Reviewing our Asynchronous Resources (The ROAR Project): Using Student Voice to Inform LD Support

 

 

Biography

I joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2022 as an Academic Skills Adviser, bringing over ten years of experience in higher education in a variety of roles—as a student, English lecturer, ESOL teacher, and writing tutor—in both the UK and the USA. I hold a PhD in Linguistics, with a research focus on phraseology. My additional research interests include student engagement, student voice, and the development of effective academic materials—topics I will be presenting on at ALDcon25 with Dr Hannah Awcock. My work centres on helping students connect academic learning to the wider world and become confident, independent thinkers and communicators.
