Join the Research and Scholarship Development Working Group’s introductory training for those considering applying for research funding, or wanting to develop a research project idea.
This free online training, hosted on Teams, will run for 1.5 hours, with an additional 30 minutes afterwards for Q&A.
The training will include:
- What to consider before applying, such as routes to getting buy-in, support and approval within your institution.
- Aligning a research idea with institutional values / objectives
- Writing an effective funding bid
- What makes a strong research proposal and/or funding application – assessors’ perspectives
- How to rectify some common pitfalls with funding proposals
