Event date and time: Tuesday 10th September 2026, 14.00 – 15.00
This session introduces the 2nd edition of AI for Students: Creative Hacks for Academic Success(Bloomsbury), a practical guide to using gen AI to support, not undermine, learning. To achieve this, the book combines critical AI literacy with learning literacy, so students learn to use the technology actively and reflectively. Use the book to work with students to preserve their reflective capacity, critical thinking, academic integrity, and creativity. In this session, Josh Thorpe will share some ideas and visuals from the book, review strategies for prompt design, and offer some free materials to use. Participants will also get a 20% discount code for purchase of the book.
