ALDinHE is delighted to host this book launch with Laura. Whilst Laura’s book is written from an EAP context, much is applicable to LD in general as emotions play a role in the learning of all. This session presents an outline of: how the book came to fruition, considerations for the use of humanistic approaches in pedagogy, how humanistic approaches could prove beneficial for learners, a presentation of People, Place, Compassion and Power (PPCP) and how it can be applied to pedagogical activities.
