One of the strategic objectives of ALDinHE over the next five years is to develop and launch a CPD
programme. We are looking for volunteers to help with this exciting project and join the newly
established Continuous Professional Development Working Group (CPDWG). Examples of some
potential areas of work of the group are:
- Developing teaching and training resources for new learning developers;
- Reviewing and updating resources;
- Evaluating resources and training events;
- Delivering and facilitating online teaching and training.
If you are interested in becoming an inaugural member of the working group, please complete the
expression of interest form on the ALDinHE website by Friday 20 December 2024.
We are looking for a small group of people to work on the initial plans for a CPD offer, and then will invite others to join as required. We will contact you by 10 January 2025 to let you know the next steps.
Expectations and commitment:
You will need to attend monthly working group meetings which are an hour long during usual working hours.
You will also spend time working with others to design, plan and create learning resources based around the framework at https://aldinhe.ac.uk/continuous-professional-development/.
Your time commitment will vary depending on the stage of the project, but is likely to be around one hour per week on average.
You will also need to work for an institutional member of ALDinHE, or be a non-institutional member yourself. If you are not sure of your membership status please contact admin@aldinhe.ac.uk .
