Biography
Heather Grierson has supported post-secondary students for more than 20 years. She is currently a Learning Specialist in Learning & Curriculum Support at the University of Guelph. In addition to her M.A. in Education (Denmark) and Máster Universitario (Spain), she has a Certificate in Learning Disabilities (Learning Strategy Stream, Cambrian College) and is a long-time member of LSAC. Heather developed and taught the new University Learning Skills course at the University of Guelph which focused on learning theory and practical application of strategies. She will be presenting at ALDinHE’s Learning Development Conference about How a Learning Skills Course Addressed Transition, Diversity and Inclusion, and a Sense of Belonging for Mature Students Seeking Entrance to University, and is scheduled for three other conference presentations in 2023.
