I am a Learning Development Manager at Canterbury Christ Church University whilst also studying part-time for a PhD Sociology. My career has taken me from a KS3-KS5 teacher to Head of Social Sciences for A-Level before jumping into HE with an original focus on engagement, transition, student support and customer services. After developing a new Personal Tutoring department to offer study skills support, I made the move to an LD focus. I have specific interests in using technology in creative ways to offer online blended / flipped learning for study skills, as well as embedding LD into course design.
How can I help Learning Developers?
I have experience of working in management positions, creating and initiating cross-department projects or implementing new service teams. I could support Learning Developers undergoing change or interested in engaging with large projects. I am also interested in working with LDers who are considering implementing new online learning processes or refreshing current platforms.
