The International Consortium of Academic Language and Learning Developers (ICALLD), formed in 2015. ICALLD includes:
- Association for Academic Language and Learning (AALL – Australia)
- Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE – United Kingdom)
- Association of Tertiary Learning Advisors of Aotearoa New Zealand (ATLAANZ – New Zealand)
- Learning Specialists Association of Canada (LSAC – Canada)
- Scottish Higher Education Learner Developers (ScotHELD – Scotland)
These associations support higher and further education practitioners and enhance students’ learning and academic literacies. Their shared values and objectives include:
- Support for the professional identity of academic language and learning (ALL) practitioners;
- Facilitation of professional development opportunities for ALL members;
- Encouragement and sponsorship of ALL research; and
- Publication and dissemination of best practice resources for ALL.
All members are eligible for reciprocal benefits of other ICALLD member associations. Examples of reciprocal benefits may include:
- Conference and event information;
- Member-rates at conferences and other events;
- Resources, best practice documents and policy information;
- Association journals and publications; and
- Opportunities for collaborative international research and networking.

The 2020-21 Symposium-Over-Time
The Symposium-over-time was a series of one-hour professional development opportunities hosted by different ICALLD members over the 2020-21 academic year. The symposium-over-time has continued, every year since.
