Become a Certified Mentor

As a mentor, you will hone your mentoring skills while helping other colleagues to find their voice within learning development through being mentored. Our ambition is to support mutually beneficial professional relationships and bring compassion and generosity into our working environments.

As a partner you will work towards the same goal supporting ALDinHE mentoring pairs.

You may also choose to apply to be an ALDinHE Certified Mentor (CeM) which involves providing evidence for

CeM

 two sustained mentoring relationships, one of which must be completed within the ALDinHE Mentoring Scheme.

The ALDinHE mentoring experience is flexible to suit each mentoring pair, but to count towards CeM we expect at least 6 months with monthly meetings (or equivalent!) The second mentoring relationship may be developed outside of the Scheme, but must involve a minimum of 10 hours of documented contact with a mentee or a relationship that lasted around 6 months.

  • one sustained mentoring relationship and at least 2 partnering experiences as part of the ALDinHE Mentoring Scheme.

The details regarding the materials required to document such a relationship can be found in Appendix 1 of the certified mentoring recognition (CeM) application form.
