Join the Research and Scholarship Development working group’s introductory training for those considering doing research or new to doing research.
This free online training, hosted on Zoom, will be 1.5 hours (10.00-11.30) and then 30 minutes for Q&A.
The content will be exemplified through the processes of applying for ALDinHE funded research; however, it provides general insight towards applying for any research project, whether or not funded.
The training will include:
- How to get started with doing research
- Where to look for institutional support, advocacy and/or approval
- Aligning a research idea with institutional values / objectives
- Ethical approval processes
- Composing effective funding bids
- What makes a strong research proposal and/or funding application
- How to rectify some common mistakes with funding proposals
