Career Catalyst: Implementing Employability Streams in Undergraduate Curricula

Media Type: Document
Resource Duration: 60 minutes
Tuition Type: One to One
Number of downloads: 2

In this resource, we introduce the Graduate Stream. Please note, although it is implemented for undergraduate Psychology students, it can be implemented in any programme. Students are encouraged to pursue a degree with professional development because of the several advantages this offers. These include, but are not limited to, better preparation for graduate employment, a better understanding of psychology graduate jobs, more self-confidence in one’s own ability to achieve objectives, and increased effective communication. However, not all students choose to undertake the degree with placement. Therefore, the aims of the Graduate Stream are:

• To provide students with a grounding in employability skills;

• To prepare students for graduate life;

• To increase students’ understanding of career options.

This resource delves in to the Graduate Stream and outlines its content and set-up. This would provide all of the details for someone to implement this in their own institution/programme.
