linked: 2022 internal funding from my institution to conduct a project where the methodology we developed further through the ALDinHE project was applied again

Small pots of money like the ALDinHE funding can make the difference for those who have no support / opportunities to apply for traditional research funding. What has made a big difference was that ALDinHE was willing to fund something that EVENTUALLY will have an impact on LD, rather than a small scale project with an immediate effect, but no huge scope. The results of this funding might take a long time, but without such long shots there will be far less original research LDers can do, so please keep on funding such projects.
