Partnership working: Opening doors – Crossing thresholds
In this reflective essay, five academics, whose lives and careers have intertwined in diverse and complex ways, explore the significance of their collaborations. Through shared narratives, the essay reveals how such partnerships can resist corporatist and exclusivist pressures in Higher Education, underscoring the value of collegiality and collaborative scholarship as a counterbalance to institutional challenges.

The purpose of this open-access guide is to provide a practical and applied resource for instructors in Higher Education that focuses on Students as Partners (SaP), drawing on University of Calgary Teaching Academy members’ wisdom from research-informed practice, to reflect diverse contexts, approaches and perspectives in HE; and, to offer recommendations, considerations and implications to others who may be interested in implementing SaP in their practice.
