Biography

I am an Induction and Transitions Adviser at the University of Glasgow, where I support students at key points of transition into, through, and out of education. My work is shaped by a strong commitment to inclusive and equitable learning, with a particular interest in relational and intercultural approaches.

As well as being an ALDinHE Fellow, I also hold Fellowship of Recognising Excellence in Teaching (RET), the University of Glasgow’s recognition scheme aligned to the UK Professional Standards Framework. I contribute to the wider learning development community as a reviewer for the Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education and am also an Editor for the undergraduate journal [X]position.

My career has spanned ESL teaching in the UK and overseas, as well as roles in student engagement and learning development across Further and Higher Education. My academic background is in French and Religious Studies, and my postgraduate research explored the influence of Buddhist traditions in the French interwar avant-garde. This interdisciplinary grounding continues to inform my practice and fuels my interest in how diverse perspectives shape learning in global contexts.

How can I help learning developers?
