I am the Assistant Director for User Experience, Service Design and Delivery at Canterbury Christ Church University whilst also studying part-time for a PhD Sociology.
My career has taken me from a KS3-KS5 teacher to Head of Social Sciences for A-Level before jumping into HE with an original focus on engagement, transition, student support and customer services. After developing a new Personal Tutoring department to offer study skills support, I made the move to an LD focus, working in the leadership role of Learning Development Manager, where I developed and launched the CCCU Learning Skills Hub.
I now work in leading the library’s user experience and service delivery, combining my knowledge and skill sets in student information, academic skills and service excellence.
How can I help learning developers?
I have experience working in management positions, creating and initiating cross-department projects or implementing new service teams.
I am keen to support staff in employing techniques/processes to embed wellbeing into the workplace, as well as promoting coaching and mentoring.
I have specific interests in using technology in creative ways to offer online blended / flipped learning for study skills.
