Biography

Following a mixed CV in sales and The Work Programme, I’ve been an LDer for nearly 10 years. I was a member of ALDinHE’s steering group for a number of years and am proud to have been a part of the team who created the CeP and CeLP aware schemes. I’ve also enjoyed delivering at ALDinHE’s conferences and symposia. I currently work in a large team with special LD responsibility for the Health & Education faculty at Manchester Metropolitan University. The main aspects of my job are to develop and deliver generic and Faculty workshops, hold 121 appointments with students, and provide emailed draft feedback although, as with everyone else, there’s always more to it than that! I also get involved in various projects across the university and have delivered at our in-house conference too.
