Biography

Silvina has been a Learning Developer at Canterbury Christ Church University since 2012. During her time at CCCU she has worked on the development of online learning materials, peer-mentoring schemes and embedding academic literacies in academic programmes. She has an MA in TESOL (EAP), has achieved CeLP status and is an Advanced HE Fellow. She has been a member of ALDinHE Research, Scholarship and Development Working Group since 2016.

How can I help learning developers?

I am a certified CMI Coach and Mentor and I have supported academic staff undertaking the UCAP, PGCAP and Advanced HE Fellowships here at CCCU. Hence, I would be very happy to advise staff who are interested in extending their professional development and applying for recognition schemes such as Fellowships, CeP and CeLP. I also have experience in English for Academic Purposes and I am currently undertaking a PhD on Learning Development Professional Identity and its place in Academia. I would be willing to support developers working on research projects on peer-mentoring, academic literacies, critical EAP, collaborative writing and LD scholarship, professionalism and identity.
