I am an interdisciplinary researcher, lecturer, and research developer based in the School of Innovation and Technology at The Glasgow School of Art. My research focusses on game-based learning in Higher Education, and issues surrounding digital interaction, documentation, preservation, and interpretation in the arts and humanities. Further information about my work – and a range of free games to support learning research skills are available at https://spaces.gsa.ac.uk/gamebasedlearning/Â
How can I help learning developers?
I am keen to work with other Learning Developers to develop game-based or playful approaches to teaching and learning in Higher Education, in particular, games for supporting academic skills and research development. I have developed a workflow to support rigorous serious game design and everything I have made is free for others to use – for example my game How to Fail Your Research Degree (http://howtofailyourresearchdegree.com/) and the Creative Thinking Quest (https://daisyabbottitchio.itch.io/creative-thinking-quest).
