Biography

Christie is a Learning Developer at the University of Plymouth. Amongst other Learning Development activities, she is responsible for the successful running and further development of the Peer Learning Projects. She implemented the sector’s first Writing Café and is currently writing up her doctorate on the benefit of social learning spaces in Higher Education. She is the Co-Chair of the Research and Development Working Group and a member of the ALDinHE Steering Group.

How can I help learning developers?

I am happy to advise teams on how to go about setting up their own social learning space. This may include training their mentoring team, daily operations and strategies, managing budgets and evaluation of these projects. I am also happy to support the development of small scale research projects around social learning/space/academic literacies.
