Biography

Kashmira is a senior lecturer in academic development at the University of New England (Australia). She has 21 years of experience in the Australian higher education (HE) sector. Her research areas are Learning design, Third-space professionals, ePortfolios, and teaching and learning in HE. She co-leads the Learning Design Special Interest Group (ASCILIET LD SIG), which has a large presence in Australasia. Kashmira also co-leads the Australian Association of Learning Designers, which has 1400+ members which primarily shares posts/jobs around learning design.

Kashmira has been mentoring third-space professionals for the past many years. From 2025 onwards, as a part of the Community Mentoring Program under the auspices of the Australasian Society for Computers In Learning in Tertiary Education  (ASCILITE), Kashmira co-leads a research mentoring program for the third space professional.
