Chris Little

Chris joined the LHWG in 2017 and has since gone on to establish a social media identity for LH (@learnhigher1) helping LH, and the wider work of ALDinHE, reach a wider audience. Chris currently works as a Senior Lecturer in Academic Development, as part of the University Teaching Academy at Manchester Metropolitan University. Prior to this, Chris worked for 8 years as a Learning developer in Keele’s learning development team providing individual coaching and tuition to students across all levels and areas of study. Chris also worked as a faculty-based Learning Developer, offering programme design consultancy and staff development alongside bespoke learning development and academic practice workshops to students in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science. During his time at Keele, Chris also established the JADE Student Learning Undergraduate research conference, which has delivered an annual undergraduate research conference for all students since 2016. The conference also leads to full academic publication for students in Keele’s in-house journal with over 50 student articles currently published. Chris also remains research active in Cultural Studies, focusing on the social exclusion of young working-class people in Britain. Chris holds a PhD in Cultural Studies, an MA in Teaching and Learning in HE and a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Learning from his time teaching in Further Education. Chris is also a Senior Fellow of the HEA (SFHEA), Certified Leading Practitioner of ALDinHE (CeLP) and holds Certified Member of the Association of Learning Technology (CMALT) status.
