Jessica Hancock

Jessica started working in Learning Development while completing her PhD in Old Norse poetry. She’s taught in HE for over a decade, in a variety of subjects from medieval literature to academic writing. She now works as a Lecturer in Educational Development at City, University of London, teaching on an MA course where she promotes collaborative and inclusive approaches to Learning Development. Her research interests include compassionate approaches to teaching in Higher Education, and academic and writing identities. Jessica joined the Learn Higher working group in 2016.
