Round 1 – Ring-fenced for ALDinHE Working Group Co-chairs

  • Request by email to: admin@aldinhe.ac.uk
  • Funding available: conference fees.
  • To be approved by the ALDinHE Steering Group

Round 2– Open to LD Community via LDHEN with priority for individuals who can demonstrate engagement with ALDinHE

Round 3 – Fixed-term contract staff ring funding:

This category includes staff working on fixed-term contracts with institutions that will not fund them to attend the conference and to independent contract staff.  Independent contractors or fixed-term staff working for institutions who are not members must be individual ALDinHE members. Applicants must be presenting at the conference in order to receive funding for their ticket.

Delegates may apply formally using the application form, and places are allocated upon successful application by the two Association Co-Chairs and two members of the Steering Group.

  • Indicative criteria:
    • Being a member of the Association, either Individual or through an Institutional member.
    • Having a workshop or paper accepted for this conference AND/OR contributing to ALDinHE through active involvement in a Working Group, hosting an event, contributing to the journal, or substantially contributing to LDHEN.
  • Applications will be accepted from registration opening until 16th  May 2022.
  • All decisions are final.

The ALDinHE Conference Buddy Scheme

Coming to a conference for the first time can often be daunting. So many new people, and so many conversations! Although the ALDinHE conference is one of the friendliest around, it can also feel pretty big so we want to ensure that you have a few familiar faces to turn to from the start. The ALDinHE conference is all about community and connection, and our buddy scheme is designed with both of those in mind.

If you would like to join the buddy scheme, we will put you in touch with a buddy before the conference so you can share a bit about yourselves. We will then invite you to a meet and greet session on the first day of the conference in Northampton so you can meet in person, build your network, and get set for an enjoyable conference experience!

To make this work, we also need buddies! If you would like to be a point of contact for some conference first-timers, please register – we would love to have you involved!

If you have any questions about the buddy scheme, please email admin@aldinhe.ac.uk
