Engineering and Work-based Learners CoP

This community of practice is for Learning Developers supporting engineering and physical sciences and/or work-based learners.

Work-based learners, such as degree apprentices, may have gaps in their education, varied experience and qualifications impacting their confidence and transition to higher education. Furthermore, the mode of delivery, such as distance and block learning, pose challenges to the embedding of Learning Development. Meanwhile, students from Engineering and Physical Sciences face a variety of assessments, report styles, and critical thinking / problem-solving models that may be left unsupported by generic Learning Development resources.
