My brief summary of Sam Elkington’s talk at Abertay with particular reference to Generative AI issues and challenges that we’ve been discussing at ALDinHE.

    • We need to understand what we are outsourcing. What is authentic – what is mine and what is machine?
    • We will be led by employer wants/needs which are likely to have an AI flavour (for want of a better word).
    • It may be that authentic becomes about the process rather than product – we will be assessing what students understand about their learning.
