Jamie is a Mathematics and Statistics Advisor at the Maths and Stats Help Centre at the University of Lincoln Library and he holds a fixed-term lecturer contract in SENI at Bishop Grosseteste University. Jamie has a BSc in Mathematics, an MRes in Applied Mathematics, and is completing his PhD in Educational Research and Development. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an ALDinHE Certified Practitioner, and a member of the Scientific Committee of The Future of Education International Conference, based in Florence, Italy.
Outside of academia, Jamie is a Criminal Magistrate (Justice of the Peace) in the adult criminal court, a member of the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, and a Governor of his former secondary school, being the link governor for Quality of Education and Post-16 Education. His current research interests include mathematics anxiety, mathematics confidence and barriers to learning.
