“Google cardboards are a cheap, sustainable resource that can be used in different ways to support student learning inside and outside the classroom. Used in conjunction with students own phones (research tells us our students have better mobile phones than staff) ; this resource can be used as a stand-alone item to engage students with curricula content (eg health, tourism, design, gaming, business); to encourage thinking about innovation and student co-design for the Teaching Excellence framework (TEF); impact for the Research Excellence framework (REF); they can be used for scaling innovation when our IT systems in Universities have other priorities.”
