#ALDcon24 registration open!
It’s that time of year again… registration for #ALDcon24 is now open! The full conference programme and Keynote Speakers are available to view, along with our social programme.
Early bird registration closes on 26th April 2024 and registration closes on 24th May 2024.
The fee waiver scheme for those whose institutions will not fund the cost of a conference place is now open on an application-only basis, and will close on 12th April 2024.

ALDCon24 session chairs
Hello everyone,
Happy Friday!
We are looking for ALDCon24 delegates who are interested in being session chairs for this year’s conference. Our session chairs play an important role in the conference through supporting our presenters and our delegates by helping to ensure sessions run to time and that delegates have the opportunity to participate through questions and comments.
If you are attending ALDCon24 and are interested in interested in becoming a session chair, please complete our session chair booking form. Before completing this form, please read the following as it explains how to use the form.
You must be attending the conference to chair. We cannot accept applications to chair sessions if you are not registered for the conference.
The form acts as both session selection for you as a delegate and as a session chair.
We do not expect chairs to be available for all parallel sessions! If there are sessions in which you are presenting or would rather attend as a delegate, simply select which presentation session you wish to attend as a delegate and move to the next parallel session.
For parallel session you are happy to chair, there is a question that prompts you to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to willingness to chair that session.
Selecting yes will then allow you to select which presentations in that parallel session you would be willing to chair.
In order to ensure we have a session chair for each presentation in each parallel session, we ask you to check all of the presentations you’d be willing to chair in a given parallel session.
For example, if you are happy to chair any presentation in Parallel Session 1, select them all.
If you have one or two presentations in Parallel Session 1 you are particularly interested in, select only those.
This give us a pool of potential session chairs for each presentation, which makes it easier to allocate chairs.
Please complete the session chair selection form by Monday, 13 May at 09:00 (UK time).
All session chairs, both new and experienced, will be supported by the Conference Committee through a briefing session and a session chair’s guidance document.

It is looking like another record number of delegates for ALDcon24. Thank you to everyone who has booked a ticket.
Early bird ticket rates end Friday 26 April 2024. If you would like to take advantage of a discounted rate, please visit the conference website – registration for ALDcon24 Early Bird Tickets.
Payment must be received by the 26 April 2024, to be eligible for the discounted rate. If you have booked a ticket, please ensure payment is made by 26 April.
The full conference programme and Keynote Speakers are available to view, along with our social programme.
Registration for full price tickets, closes on 24th May 2024.

Pack your dancing shoes for the ALDcon24 Ceilidh!
Dear Colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who is joining us at this year’s annual conference. We are delighted to be welcoming a record number of delegates to #ALDcon24, over 220 delegates, so far. If you have not yet had a chance to purchase a ticket, registration closes on the 24 May 2024.
If you have registered and not yet booked sessions, you may wish to do so, as we have already had to close one workshop for bookings, as it has reached capacity.
In the lead up to the conference, please take some time to explore the conference website.
We hope those of you who are attending the conference dinner, will pack their dancing shoes, for the ALDcon24 Ceilidh. You can try out the interactive Ceilidh on the conference website.
