This activity is designed to help students to understand and be able to identify different styles of question.
The students discuss in pairs or groups the questions which are listed, identifying what category of question each falls into. The students then attempt to re-phrase any of those they have identified as being closed questions into a form which will elicit a fuller response.
This activity is designed to be used in a workshop relating to listening and interpersonal skills, particularly relating to active listening and establishing and maintaining conversations.
