The Association for Learning Development in Higher Education is delighted to invite colleagues to join the conference committee. We have a number of voluntary roles available. The closing date for expressions of interest is 22nd March 2024.

Having a role in the conference committee, opens up many opportunities, for example:

  • Develop professional skills that can translate to careers in and out of academia
  • Demonstrate impact for professional accreditations, eg. ALDinHE, AdvanceHE
  • Develop new insights into current trends and initiatives in the LD community
  • Opportunity to take responsibility in a chosen area
  • A chance to step outside of normal routine to become more objective
  • Benefit from knowledge exchange, share practice and influence how the conference evolves in the future

After five years of exceptional leadership, Melanie Crisfield will be stepping down as Conference Chair following ALDcon24. We also say goodbye to Janet Ramdeo who joined the committee as Deputy Chair in 2022 and has supported the committee in preparing for ALDcon23 and ALDcon24.
