On the 8th of September, the University of Bedfordshire hosted a regional group for learning developers based in and around the Eastern region. This report by the organiser Steve Briggs provides an overview of the day.

The event was promoted via the LDHEN JISCmail list, and attended by 16 delegates representing 8 Universities:

  • University of Bedfordshire
  • University of East Anglia
  • University Campus Suffolk
  • Anglia Ruskin University
  • Birkbeck, University of London
  • University of the Arts, London
  • University of the Creative Arts
  • Nottingham Trent University

The morning included opportunities to network and to compare the  ways in which Learning Development (LD) is structured in each institution. Jeremy Schildt (University of East Anglia) led the construction of a collaborative Prezi to capture the presentations. This can be found at http://tinyurl.com/o76jp6r

The afternoon focused on the ways in which we can evidence and evaluate the impact of LD work.

Feedback on the day was very positive – click here  Report for ALDinHE Professional Development Working Group for the full programme and delegates’ comments.

Here is Steve’s excellent infographic with tips for organising a successful regional event.
