Remembering Tom Burns
It is with great sadness we announce that our colleague, friend and all-round lovely person Tom Burns, has passed away. Tom was an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life. His life was made extraordinary by circumstances and by dint of his own personality and spirit – Tom was a very likeable person with a wonderful sense of humour and had a spirit of adventure. ALDinHE Research Grants – Call for Proposals 2024-25 is open
ALDinHE’s funding call is now open. The deadline for applications is 19th July 2024. We have £5,000 available in funding, with a maximum of £1,000 per project, and this opportunity is open to any individual or group whose principal investigator works at a member institution. Each year ALDinHE allocates funding for innovative research projects that focus on specific aspects of Learning Development. The 2024 ICALLD Symposium – 23-24 April 2024
ICALLD is delighted to announce the 8th international Symposium over Time! Dear Colleagues, It’s that time of year again… registration for #ALDcon24 is now open! The full conference programme and Keynote Speakers are available to view, along with our social programme. Early bird registration closes on 26th April 2024 and registration closes on 24th May 2024. The fee waiver scheme for those whose institutions will not fund the cost of a conference place is now open on an application-only basis, and will close on 12th April 2024. Nominate your colleague / team for the ALDinHE Awards The ALDinHE Annual Awards were launched in 2020 to celebrate great practice and dedicated practitioners in the learning development community. The awards are open to everyone working in learning development. Nominations are invited from colleagues by submitting a brief (300 words) account.
